Himmerli is a universe I have created with heart and soul. My name is Jane Mejse and my wish with Himmerli is to share my passion for beautiful craftsmanship, authentic materials and sustainable products that all have something special about them. For me, it’s about finding the uniqueness and what makes a product more than just a thing. I want every item in Himmerli to not only adorn your home, but also feel like a part of your story, something that evokes emotions and memories.
At Himmerli, I’ve handpicked a selection of interior and lifestyle products, each created with care. Many of the products have roots in faraway places, but they have one thing in common. They are made with love and skill, often by small producers with whom I have built close relationships. I want you to feel the connection and personal journey behind each and every item when you enter the world of Himmerli.
For me, it’s important that Himmerli is not just about selling beautiful things. It’s also about making a difference. I strive to support artisans, small communities and women in low-income countries who through their work have the opportunity to create a better future for themselves and their families. I care that our products are produced under decent and fair conditions and that the environment, animals and people are taken into account throughout.

The name Himmerli is inspired by my fascination with the mountains – a place of calm, brutality and infinite beauty. For me, the mountains symbolize something magical, a place where we can find peace, but also a deep connection to nature and simplicity. In the mountains there are no distractions, just the pure and the real, and that’s the feeling I want to bring into Himmerli.
Himmerli is more than a name, it’s a reminder to seek the meaningful in everyday life. To surround ourselves with things that bring us peace and joy. Things that are created with respect for both people and nature. It is my hope that Himmerli can be a little escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, a place where you can discover something that speaks to both your home and your heart.
At the end of 2023, I had the great pleasure of opening my first pop-up store on Falkoner Allé, Frederiksberg. Here I had the opportunity to meet many of you face to face and create a direct connection to our universe and products.
The pop-up store is now closed, but we hope to welcome you to a new pop-up event in 2025. Until then, we are ready to provide you with a personalized and attentive online shopping experience.
