My name is Jane Mejse, and Himmerli is the embodiment of my passion for beautiful craftsmanship, authentic materials, and sustainable products with a distinct personality. For me, it’s all about discovering the unique—the kind of product that becomes more than just an object, but a piece of your personal story, evoking memories and emotions.
At Himmerli, I’ve personally curated a selection of interior and lifestyle products, each made with great care and thoughtfulness. Many of the items have roots in faraway places, yet they all share a common thread: they’re created with love and expertise, often by small-scale artisans with whom I’ve built strong, trusting relationships. My wish is that when you step into Himmerli’s world, you can feel the connection, the personal journey, and the artistry behind each piece.
For me, Himmerli is more than just selling beautiful items. It’s about making a difference. I am committed to supporting artisans, small local communities, and women in low-income countries who, through their craft, are given the opportunity to create better futures for themselves and their families. It is crucial that our products are made under fair conditions, respecting the environment, animals, and people throughout the entire process.

The name Himmerli is inspired by my deep fascination with the mountains—a place that embodies both peace and raw, breathtaking beauty. For me, mountains symbolize something magical, a space where we can find tranquility and connect deeply with nature and simplicity. In the mountains, there are no distractions, only purity and authenticity, and that is the feeling I want to bring into Himmerli.
Himmerli is more than just a name; it’s a reminder to seek meaning in the everyday. To surround ourselves with items that bring peace and joy. Items created with respect for both people and nature. It is my hope that Himmerli offers a small escape from the rush of daily life, a place where you can discover something that speaks not only to your home but to your heart.
At the end of 2023, I had the immense pleasure of opening my first pop-up store on Falkoner Allé, Frederiksberg. It was a wonderful opportunity to meet many of you face-to-face, creating a direct connection between you, our universe, and our products.
The pop-up shop has since closed, but we hope to welcome you back to a new pop-up event in 2025. Until then, we are here to offer you a personal and intimate shopping experience online.
