Behind these sari scruncies and toiletry bags is a women empowering organization based in Kathmandu. They train vulnerable women in sewing and in this way provide them with better conditions for self-sufficiency.<\/p>\n

A scrunchie is much gentler on the hair than a normal elastic band. The elastic is also strong, so the scrunchie can easily hold the hair.<\/p>\n
